Boston

Boston is a great city! I mean look at this stunning picture!!! I took this picture from the Longfellow Bridge that crosses from Cambridge into Boston. This is my favorite view in the city. You can see Boston and Cambridge skylines. Also the sunsets are unreal from bridge.

Boston is an incredibly walkable city. I even lived there without a car for a year. (So there is your guarantee that it is truly doable) The public transit is easy to figure out. If you have your walking shoes, you could probably walk most of the major neighborhoods in a day.

Boston is a great city to move to! It is a small city so it is easy to navigate and explore. (I mean if you don’t take into account that most of our roads were laid out before cars were invented). Boston is fast pace and you will always feel like you are on the go! You can hustle and get things done here! It is also filled with art, history, and a major hub for science, education, and medicine! You’re right on the water. Boston has an international airport. It is 2 hours from the white mountains. A short drive to some wicked cool coastal towns. Boston is a great place to land if you want to explore New England. In my biased opinion, it has everything.

Explore Boston 🤍

  • Ilona - this is my favorite in Boston. I haven’t been there in over a year and I still frequently think of their crispy eggplant. They serve Mediterranean food and the staff is so kind. They will guide you through the menu if you don’t recognize some of the food that is listed! They also have a sister restaurant called Kava  neo-taverna. I always think Ilona is the more sweet side and Kava is more savory side of Mediterranean cuisine.

Beehive - this is a great spot for brunch or dinner. They serve delish comfort food and tasty cocktails. They usually have live jazz music at night as well. Great vibes

Shore Leave - this was my go to after work place to eat and drink (I still drank in Boston). The tiki vibe was always fun, but beware of their mai tais! Their sushi and small plates always hit the spot

Brookline Lunch - This is in Cambridge, but you neeeedddd to go to get their pancakes. All of their food is so fresh and so tasty. I cannot recommend this place enough. I also dream of these pancakes frequently

This list could go on forever! If you need more reccommendations, just DM me :)

  • Museums:

Boston has some amazing museums! My favorite is the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. It’s filled with all the art she collected over her life. Just go in and wander. Maybe have a glass of wine or a coffee at their cafe. It also has a stunning garden in the center!

Museums are wonderful to get lost in for the day, especially if it is gross outside! Also a great solo activity. Most of the museums host late nights as well! This is always a fun alternative than going out to the bars! (They do still serve alcohol at these event)

Museum of Fine Arts is open until 10pm on Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. They also host a special Late Nite event occasionally- follow them on instagram to keep up to date with those events!

Isabella Stewart Gardner is open until 9pm on Thursdays. They also host weekend concert series!

Institute of Contemporary Art hosts Free Thursday night between 5pm-9pm. There is free live music outside near the harbor on Thursday nights as well. They also host First Friday nights. Every first Friday of the month they host a party, usually with a theme.
