Glad you exist

Hey there wandering souls.

Do you believe in soulmates? Do you believe that there is one person out there also wandering around trying to find you? Maybe you are just continuously passing each other by and missing each other? Maybe romantic soulmates just don’t exist.

I will say, I do believe in soul connections. I believe there are many people out there for me. We are unknowingly waiting to cross paths and combine our journeys at the right time and the right moment. Maybe they will be with me long term or maybe just stay for a short visit and a lesson learned. Either way, each platonic soulmate gets a part of my heart and becomes part of my family. This is my second family. My soul sisters. My girlhood.

Moving to a new city, I keep my eyes out for new connections. It’s hard to start over. Sometimes it SUCKS. It’s the hardest when I’m feeling like my most introverted self and I repeatedly tell myself “I have enough friends.” At the end of the day, there is no such thing as enough. I have learned that the best way to make friends in your 30s is to be open and vulnerable. Be honest. Be you. You’ll find friends as you go. Your authentic self will attract like souls. You’ll meet new friends and within a few months you’ll just know that the friendship is something special. That it is a bond that will last. Keep your head up. Stay open to new connections :)
